We all know monodome tent is a single layer dome tent, and it usually comes with a two pole frame, which provides a basic structure of a tent. But when it comes to modified dome tent, it is a little different from monodome tent.
The 1st biggest different is poles, modified dome tent usually comes with a 3 pole system, besides two basic poles, it always comes with a 3rd pole in front. Some might have two additional poles besides two basic poles.
